Description:  Weidenblume or 'Willow Flower' was created by German atelier Sanfte Strukturen led by Marcel Kalbe Weidenblume is a permanent, site-specific, living willow sculpture designed for the Museum of Outdoor Arts. It is the first American project by Sanfte Strukturen. You will notice two mosaic birds atop the dome of the sculpture. The birds are Lark Buntings, representing Colorado's state bird and were made by Dorothea Kalberer of Sanfte Strukturen. The piece measures at 18 feet high and over 40 feet in diameter and was constructed in Spring 2010.
