Description:  This project was inspired by the quote: "We will not be satisfied until justice rolls down like waters and righteousness like a mighty stream" from Martin Luther King's "I Have a Dream" speech. In 2009, Rob Licht was chosen as the sculptor and responded with the abstracted image of a waterfall in combination with the portrait bust, on a stone base etched with the quote. The sculpture honors Martin Lutherg as well as the diverse communities that make up the mosaic of Ithaca. Its permanence in the City's public art collection will ensure that future generations will continue to reflect on Martin Luther King's legacy.

The sculpture is fabricated from stainless steel and bronze. The bluestone base, which is similar to the stone found in Ithaca's gorges, was quarried in Pennsylvania and cut locally.
