Description:  The beauty of Hawaii is captured in a tapestry of stylized images incorporating a sun (abstracted from a gourd rattle), canoe lashings and outriggers, surf, a fish hook, tattoos, kapa patterns, Hawaiian flora and fauna. Jay Wilson was born in Clarksburg, West Virginia in 1947. He received a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Auburn University, and has lived in Hawaii since 1972. His studio is located in Kihei, Maui.
