Description:  "Chance Meeting" is the first work by George Segal to be permanently displayed in Hawaii. Originally cast in an edition of six and depicting three people engaged in conversation on a street corner in New York, the sculpture has been made specific to the Mauka/Makai Mall at the University of Hawaii by replacing its one-way signs with localized directional signage.
