Artwork Type:  mobiles
Material:  steel (alloy)
Description:  This site-specific mobile, which hangs in the library's entrance vestibule, was created from forty typewriters, meticulously disassembled and reassembled to create a waterfall of new shapes. The artist gave these shapes nicknames such as “droplet,” “world,” and “waterfall.” The mobile reminds visitors of the mechanical device that was the vehicle for the printed word for over a century.
