Description:  I create geometric paintings, sculptures, and photographs that interpret my observations of urban and natural landscapes. I investigate images and patterns in locations around the world, from the architectural facades in Sao Paulo to the rock formations of Utah's Bryce Canyon National Park, representing them as minimalist forms and patterns. My objective is to merge the objective and subjective and present a particularly honed vision. Although each work adheres to a formulaic expression, it is a window into a psychological space within the viewer, as each work is based on the keyhole perspective, seeing only a portion of what's behind. In addition to the gallery-scale works, I also paint large outdoor murals in international settings, using entire buildings as the canvas as well as permanent and semi-permanent site specific sculptural installations. I find it exciting to be able to interpret a project in a multitude of ways with an integrated work.

My practice has evolved to combining sculpture with two-dimensional murals. Up to now these two aspects of my expression have remained separate but my current exploration is expanding the two-dimensional mural work into three-dimensional sculpture. The mural extends into objects which reach up towards the sky. An approach which could inspire numerous signature works or series of works integrated into the public realm. My work resonates with a local neighborhood as a stunning addition. Recently, my completed permanent outdoor sculptural installation in Nicaragua was well received, as was a site specific mural installation for The Standard Spa and Hotel, Miami Beach, Florida.

I have exhibited nationally and internationally in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Barcelona and Madrid. My most recent solo exhibition is currently on view at One at RH Contemporary Art in New York at until March 2015.

In the past, I have worked with designers, architects, city officials, and local stakeholders to meet collective goals for a ‘shared vision’ on every project. My experience with community engagement is well developed and includes exhibiting models, public workshops, online information distribution and feedback, lecturing as well as attending stakeholder events offering speeches by local community leaders.
