Description:  Eric McGehearty’s installation unites twelve pairs of traditional firefighter’s boots, modeled and then cast in bronze, with the words Courage, Duty, Honor and Vigilance displayed on the windows of the station’s tower, to illustrate the firefighter’s preparedness, camaraderie, and oath of service to the community. United We Stand is his first public art work.
